Robotics & Engineering
The Primordial Wizards of Robotics & Engineering
In this category you must submit an essay explaining the nature of your Engineering project and how it will be environmentally friendly or how it will help to improve the environment. It is not necessary to go into every detail of your project in your essay, just the over all idea of it. You must also explain why you should be chosen as a finalist to compete for a scholarship. Your essay must be limited to 500 words. All essays must be submitted by March 31, 2025.
If you are chosen to compete and your project is a robot then you must design and build this robot. If your design is of a road vehicle, aircraft, watercraft, etc then you must build a small scale physical model of your project. You must also create this project in detail in a 3D animation program that is converted to video. Your video must show rotations, zoom ins and zoom outs so that every angle and detail of your design can be viewed by the judges and audience. You must incorporate into your design features that will make your project environmentally friendly.
On the day of presentation, you will be expected to explain the details of your project such as its functionality, size, the materials that will be used to build it and exactly what makes your project environmentally friendly. Each contestant will have approximately 6 minutes to present and explain their project. You may use a team to help with your project, but only the team leader can win the scholarship.
