The Primordial Wizards of Architecture

In this category you must submit an essay explaining the nature of your architectural project and how it will be environmentally friendly. It is not necessary to go into every detail of your design in your essay, just the over all idea of it. You must also explain why you should be chosen as a finalist to compete for a scholarship. Your essay must be limited to 500 words. All essays must be submitted by March 31, 2025.

If you are chosen to compete, you must design a structure based off of how you imagine architecture will look 500 years from now. You must incorporate into your design features that will make your structure environmental friendly. Your structure must also be structurally feasible.

Your project must be created in a 3D animation program and converted to video that shows rotations and zoom ins and zoom outs so that every angle and feature of your design can be viewed as you explain it. You must also build a small scale physical model of your structure in order to demonstrate the physical application of your design.

On the day of presentation, you will be expected to explain the details of your project such as its functionality, space/size, the materials that will be used to build it and exactly what makes your structure environmentally friendly. Each contestant will have approximately 6 minutes to present and explain their project. You may use a team to help with your project, but only the team leader can win the scholarship.
